Q

Is it possible to use Polaris products while taking Propecia (finasteride) simultaneously?

A

Yes, both products can be used together to intensify the treatment of androgenetic alopecia. Please consult your healthcare professional.

Q

If I have hair implants, is it possible to use Polaris products to treat androgenetic alopecia?

A

Immediately after hair implants, special care is needed to avoid injuring the scalp, and the use of special shampoos and lotions is necessary. Your doctor will inform you when you can begin applying other products to you scalp. After this period of healing, the Polaris products solution can improve the quality of implanted hair and treat the alopecia of existing hair, since this hair can continue to fall despite the new implants around it.

Q

Do Polaris products have dangerous side effects?

A

In most cases, Polaris product is well tolerated when used externally by men because absorption is topical, therefore has only minimal absorption into the blood. Studies show that the majority of users do not experience side effects. Due to its very high minoxidil content, NR-09 is not recommended for people who have heart disease or take blood-pressure-lowering medications. Should undesirable effects occur, they are reversible immediately by discontinuing the application of Polaris products. We recommend that you consult your doctor to determine if you are healthy enough to use this product.
For NR-08 and 09, it should not be used by pregnant or nursing women due to high concentrate of minoxidil.
For NR-02, please keep away from women due to finasteride.

Q

Why are Polaris products sticky for some users?

A

The most common ingredients found in conventional products are propylene glycol (PPG) and alcohol component at high concentrations. These chemicals are needed to dilute minoxidil and other oil soluble materials. In general, quite large number of existing anti hair loss treatments in the world contain these chemicals. In addition, alcohol component is regarded as an active ingredient to improve the blood circulation and PPG is used as preservative. However, these solvent systems themselves can cause further cytotoxic effects as well as irritation and inflammation of the scalp.
We think that eliminating PPG and high alcohol component levels dramatically proves patient tolerability and comfort. Polaris products are the exact products that would make less irritation or allergies to the scalp. Hence, you might feel sticky or stiff when you applied NR-08/09 on your scalp but it would not have an impact on neither the qualities nor effectiveness.

Q

Why do the odor and color differ in batch?

A

The characteristic odor and color of Polaris Research products are attributed to natural active ingredients like as Serenoa Repens, vitamin complex, and so on.
These natural ingredients are added to the products in order to increase the effectiveness for hair growth and reducing hair loss. Since Polaris Research Laboratories is constantly searching for brand-new solutions and technologies which can advance the effectiveness of hair regrowth, the odor and colors can vary from batch to batch.
However, please be noted that we release products only after their effectiveness have been well documented in various clinical studies, both in-vivo and in-vitro.

Q

The product I received appears to be different from what I received last time, why?

A

Since several natural ingredients and extracts are used in the products, some differences can appear from batch to batch. We create our products with cutting-edge technologies, so that Polaris products maintain the highest possible efficacy over time.

Q

Does the product deliver the same effectiveness even after drying hair with hairdryer?

A

If the solution is massaged into the scalp, it will not be a problem even if you dry your hair after applying it. Since the solution includes less alcohol than other existing products, evaporation of liquid would be slower than that of other products. Some users may prefer to blow dry their hair after applying the solution for a better hair feel.

Q

I noticed that my hair is getting force after starting therapy with Polaris Research, does this mean the product is not working for me?

A

In the beginning of treatment, further hair loss can occur due to the activation of hair life cycle – minoxidil and other ingredients in the product shorten “telogen” and quicken “anagen”. In androgenetic alopecia, the scalp goes into prolonged periods of “telogen” and “catagen”, therefore the hair cycle is activated by using minoxidil and other compounds. With intensive treatment like Polaris the anagen stage is induced quite rapidly.
As this activation would cause follicle to reset the hair life-cycle before inducing anagen, shedding and further hair loss can happen in the first few weeks of treatment. Therefore, it is important to continue the treatment even during this initial period of shedding. It is estimated that roughly 20% of users can experience a strong shedding when initiating high-concentration minoxidil therapy.
Nevertheless, if shedding does not stop after 6 weeks of regular use, we recommend that you stop using Polaris products and consult your doctor since there may be other problems that are causing your hair loss.

Q

Is it possible to have itching or skin eruptions from using Polaris products?

A

Using Polaris products would rarely cause eczema and other skin eruptions. In clinical studies, a very small percentage of these side effects have been reported. Please stop using it and consult your doctor in case you experience any irritation after applying the solution.

Q

How do I know if I am a good candidate for Polaris products?

A

Polaris products are indicated for the treatment of baldness by addressing the major known culprits of hair loss. The treatment makes the hair stronger and pushes a greater number of follicles into the anagen stage. Polaris products are highly effective for most people. If you have any doubts about your treatment, please consult your doctor.

Q

Can greasy hair (seborrheic dermatitis) cause hair loss?

A

Greasy hair is not the direct cause of hair loss. However, it can accelerate hair loss in individuals who are already suffering from baldness or thinning hair. A greater amount of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is found in greasy scalps. Therefore it is important to eliminate a greasy condition of the scalp with daily cleansing using a high-quality shampoo.

Q
